Another adventurous trekking in Tibet is Shalu to Nartang Trek.This trek begins from the Shalu Monastery and passes through Upper Longsang, Ngor Monastery and finally reaches to the Nartang Monastery and ends. The route passes through several villages as well as uninhabited dry canyons.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Overnight at hotel. Day 02-03: Two days sightseeing in Lhasa (Visit Potala Palace, Sera Monastry, Drepung Monastry, Norbulingkha,Jokhangn Temple and Barkhor market. Day 04: Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse. Overnight at hotel. Day 05: Drive from Gyantse to Shalu. Overnight at hotel. Day 06-08: Trekking starts from Shalu to and ends at Nartang. Overnight at hotel Day 09: Drive from Nartang to Sakya. Day 10: Sakya to old Tingri. Day 11: Tingri to Zhangmu. Day 12: Drive Zhangmu to Kathmandu
