Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC Trek (23 days)

Lobuche PeakLobuche peak is an attractive summit, offering a variety of existing routes and wide scope for new lines. Seen from near Pheriche, the dark triangle of its rocky east face rises above the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier to and icy skyline. This skyline forms the south ridges, the junction of the east faces with the glaciated south west face and the line of the normal route of ascent. This in turn leads to the summit ridge running north west from the top of the east faces through several small summit to the east peak.

Your trip preparation:

Trekking to Lobuche base camp considered strenuous trek of Nepal . If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure you will finish your trip successfuly both trekking and climbing and enjoy a lot. But, climbing Lobuche peak requires additional experience of mountaineering skill. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not to experience high altitude sickness. However, you are requested to check your altitude fitness and the itinerary.

Please note that the following program is prepared in the fact basis, however, can be changed in some circumstances but adjustments will have to be made during the trekking. We request you to be flexible with the situation to enjoy yourself.

As the trek is designed for camping arrangement, everything is handled by our team of porters, sherpas and cooks who carry the equipment, set up the camp and have hot meals waiting for you at every food break.

Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.
Day 02 : Preparation day for permits & shopping
Day 03 : Fly to Lukla & trek to Phakding
Day 04 : Trek to Namche
Day 05 : Namche rest for acclimatization
Day 06 : Trek to Thyanboche
Day 07 : Trek to Pheriche
Day 08 : Trek to Lobuche
Day 09 : Trek to Kalapathar back to Gorekshep
Day 10 : Gorekshep to Everest base camp back to Lobuche
Day 11 : Lobuche Base camp
Day 12 - 15 : Acclimatization at BC
Day 16 : Summit & Back to Base camp
Day 17 : Trek to Dingboche
Day 18 : Trek to Thyangboche
Day 19 : Trek to Namche
Day 20 : Trek to Lukla
Day 21 : Fly Lukla - Kathmandu
Day 22 : Kathmandu rest day
Day 23 : Drive to airport for departure

Service Includes:

  • Airport transfers
  • Flight: Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu
  • 3-meals per day prepared by our experienced cook
  • Camping gear (two men tents, foam mattress, kitchen tent, dining tent and toilet tent)
  • Supporting field staff including professional trekking guide, cook, kitchen boy, porters as well as their necessary insurance, meals and allowances
  • Peak permit fee and climbing Sirdar
  • Everest National Park entrance permit fee

Service Excludes:

  • Meals and accommodation in Kathmandu
  • Personal equipment- sleeping bag, Down jacket, waterproof jacket, kit bag etc
  • Equipment allowance (legally each expedition must provide an equipment allowance for all Sherpa guides and porters. This allowance is necessary for brand new equipment (sleeping bag, shoes, crampons, down jacket, raincoat etc.) Because this expedition is not a high altitude expedition we will negotiate with the guides and porters to obtain an acceptable agreement for this allowance
  • Travel / medical insurance and emergency evacuation cost
  • Personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, alcoholic beverages, bottled drinks (including cold drinks and mineral water), tips etc
