Mountaineering Expedition in Nepal

This category is similar to challenging treks, however, includes basic mountaineering above the snow line using ice axe, crampons ropes and necessary climbing gears under the supervision and instruction from the climbing leader/guide.

People wanting to do this type of expedition needs psychological and physical stamina plus prior experience is certainly an advantage, but not essential. Minimum 30 days required for the trekking and mountaineering. We have some Himalayas day-by-day programme. Please write us of your requirements and we shall forward to you more detail with approximately cost.

The royalty and size of the expedition team: Rules effective from 1996 spring Ascent route of Everest:

  • South East Ridge normal route Royalty of US$ 70,000 has been fixed for Sagarmatha (Everest) for a team consisting of 7 members. The team may include 5 more members provided if pays extra US$ 10,000 for each additional member. The royalty includes trekking fee of the team members. The team members will be granted 3 months visa.
  • Route south pillar Everest, south west face south west face (Central Pillar) royalty up to 7 members US$ 50,000 and the may include 5 more members provided it pays extra US$ 10,000 for each additional member.
  • The team already permitted to scale Everest will have to pay US$ 10,000 if it intends to change the ascent route. It will have to pay additional US$ 20,000 if it intends to change the ascent route to normal south East Ridge route.
  • Garbage deposit US$ 4,000 each team. Expedition team must complete all necessary administrative formalities and procedures in order to send back the garbage of the expedition team to their respective countries, after the completion of the expedition. Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation will take necessary monetary deposit from the team, which will be refunded after the dispatch of garbage from Nepal.
Mt. Everest

Everest Expedition
Duration: 64 nights - 65 days
The peak was first climbed by Sir Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa from Nepal on May 29, 1953 and reached the summit top of the world.

Cho Oyu

Cho Oyu Expedition
Duration: 47 nights - 48 days
Cho Oyu, the world's sixth highest mountain, lies on the Nepal-Tibet border. The North West Face, now considered the normal route, is fairly straight forward, with only a couple hundred meters requiring fixed rope.

Dhaulagiri

Dhaulagiri Expedition
Duration: 44 nights - 45 days
Mt. Dhaulagiri, one of the most popular peak in Nepal, offers 4 camps starting from the east of Dhaulagiri Base Camp (5300 m), Camp II (6,400m), Camp III (7,200m) and Camp IV (7500 m) Dhaulagiri Camp V is considered the most difficult in the expedition.

Makalu

Makalu Expedition
Duration: 57 nights - 58 days
Mt. Makalu, the world's 5th highest mountain, lies between Everest and Kanchenjunga on the Nepal-Tibet border. We ascend from Makalu Base Camp via the North-West ridge and set up 4 high camps on the mountain.

Kanchanjunga Expedition

anchenjanga has 5 peaks of which the true summit is 8,586m. in elevation. In our expedition package we offer trekking trip up to Kanchenjanga base camp and there after expedition through south face route.

Manaslu Manaslu Expedition
Duration: 44 nights - 45 days
Mt. Manaslu, the world's eight highest mountain, lies in the central region of Nepal. Japanese were the first climbers who scaled Manaslu mountain in 1956. Therefore, it is still popularly recognized as Japanese Peak in Nepal.
